8-0.
14-3 overall, 5-1 in conference. What a season so far!
What turned out to be an impressive win started out eerily similar to a few of the previous games…
Then the offense roars to life and we have liftoff…
The Mavs would make threes and work the ball inside for layups/foul shots and go on a 34-5 run after being down 8-0, putting the game well out of reach. By halftime, the Mavs had made six threes and forced 10 Arkansas State turnovers: (the 14:00 in the picture below is the halftime remaining clock)
Overall, the Mavs outrebounded the Red Wolves 51-41 and made 15 threes (41%). Defense was spectacular tonight. Forced turnovers all night long, several resulting in dunks that brought the crowd of 3000+ to its feet. This was a well played game for 40:00 and again the Mavs win another home game by a large margin, this time by 27. With Kevin Hervey out with an injury, Kennedy Eubanks scored 23 points (7-14 FG, 4-9 3pt., 5-5 FT) with 0 turnovers and 3 steals. Erick Neal scored 19 on 5-8 3 point shooting.
