The spring signing period is underway and it’s always interesting to see where players sign or transfer to new programs.
As I said in a recent previous post (with updates in red):
With five six scholarships I think (Shaq, Edwards, McIlvain, Dowell, Lagerson, Dillard), we’ll likely see another recruit or two signed during the April signing period April 16-May 21.
Added one more scholarship to that list, since it looks like Vince Dillard is leaving UTA, according to the always interesting 2014 Transfer List by Jeff Goodman.
So far we have:
Erick Neal, 5’9″ point guard from Dallas
Julian Harris, 6’5″ forward from Mansfield Lake Ridge
Kevin Hervey 6’7″ forward from Bowie High School
and even though nothing official has been announced, reports on the Internet suggest we could add:
Nathan Hawkins, 6’5 guard from Univ. of Nebraska/Rowlett H.S.
Kaelon Wilson, 6’2 guard from Lancaster H.S.
so…one more scholarship left? Another center perhaps?
Nathan Hawkins – University of Nebraska/Rowlett
According to his bio at University of Nebraska, he “was rated as one of the top 15 seniors in Texas by ESPN.com and TexasHoops.com in the class of 2013, as well as one of the top 20 deep shooters nationally in the class of 2013 by Rivals.com’s Eric Bossi”.
