Johnny Hill, a guard (6’3, 180) who started 26 games last year for Illinois State, may be transferring to UT-Arlington according to an ISU fan site and UTA Athletics.
Hill averaged about 25 minutes, 7.7 points, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and nearly 4 rebounds per game this past season for the Redbirds. A quick read through the 14-page thread gives the appearance that he is a very popular player with fans on their board, and could be a very nice addition for the Mavericks. Having played two seasons at ISU, he would have two years of eligibility left starting with the 2014-2015 season.
Johnny discussed his decision to leave the ISU program in this article.
Hill is also mentioned in this CollegeBasketballTalk article at NBCSports.com.
