Tough Loss to a Good Georgia State Team

Entertaining game but give credit to GSU star R.J. Hunter, who scored 31 tonight.
Mavs played well for 35:00 but couldn’t hold the lead late. Hunter has incredible range and one of the quickest shots I’ve ever seen. Think of recent UTA long-range shooters like Bo Ingram or Marquez Haynes or LaMarcus Reed and you get the idea of Hunter’s range and ability to get open and create his own shot. GSU passed the ball extremely well, didn’t turn the ball over much and is probably one of the best teams to visit Arlington in the last few years. That being said, this was a game where a few defensive stops or a key three pointer could have been enough to keep momentum and probably be a win for the Mavs. Up next: Troy saturday.
