After missing Saturday night’s game to attend a long-planned family function, I should be back in my favorite seat to observe tomorrow night’s contest. We’re back in conference play for what could be an important weekend of basketball.

First up: the Spartans come to Arlington with a 9-16 record (3-11 WAC). Our Mavs are 15-10 (9-5 WAC)…should be a good opportunity for a win. Mavs won 66-47 at SJSU earlier this season.

two wins this weekend would give us a 17-10 overall/11-5 WAC record,
a split at 16-11/10-6,
two losses 15-12/9-7.

Looking toward the end of the season, some more best/worst case scenarios:
Win the next four: 19-10 overall/13-5 WAC
Split the next four: 17-12 overall/11-7 WAC
Get swept: 15-14/9-9 WAC

After a tough game last saturday…I’m predicting the Mavs create some turnovers, get the fast break going and limit SJSU to 35% shooting…Jamel continues his good shooting and UTA wins 75-61. What do you think? Let me know in the comments…
